People

The People section of the Future Climate Adaptation Hub brings together research insights from our social science climate impact research program.

Climate Change and People

For NSW to effectively adapt to climate change it is important to consider:

  • how people, communities and the economy may be affected
  • that adaptation actions – aimed at avoiding or minimising risks – will vary by context and resources.

This section presents research findings that help translate climate change scenarios and hazards into real-world socio-economic impacts for current and future populations. These insights are vital for guiding local and state level actions that protect the community and reduce disadvantage and hardship.
