Climate Change and People
For NSW to effectively adapt to climate change it is important to consider:
- how people, communities and the economy may be affected
- that adaptation actions – aimed at avoiding or minimising risks – will vary by context and resources.
This section presents research findings that help translate climate change scenarios and hazards into real-world socio-economic impacts for current and future populations. These insights are vital for guiding local and state level actions that protect the community and reduce disadvantage and hardship.
